EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES VOTED BEST AIRLINE SECURITY BY GLOBAL TRAVELER MAGAZINE

EL AL, the national airline of Israel, was selected by more than 25,000 readers of Global Traveler (GT) Magazine as the airline with the world’s best security. This honor has been given to EL AL for three consecutive years (which is how long the category has been recognized). GT Publisher/CEO Fran Gallagher stated, “Our award winners continue to set the bench mark for service in the industry and our readers know quality. Year after year, the winners they vote for emulate those high standards. EL AL’s dedication to security keeps it tops in the Best Airline for Security category.”
“We are proud to be recognized as the airline industry leader in security,” commented Offer Gat, CEO, EL AL Israel Airlines, North/Central America. “Security and safety remain a top priority for EL AL and we are proud to provide an uncompromised level at all times.”

Pictured above: The EL AL Israel Airlines nonstop flight being de-iced at Newark Airport this afternoon before taking off for Israel

EL AL Israel Airlines is the only carrier flying to and from Israel today, providing uninterrupted nonstop service. All other airlines flying between the east coast and Israel have cancelled their inbound and outbound flights. Additionally, select airlines flying to and from Israel have already cancelled tomorrow’s flights. This morning, EL AL nonstop flights landed on time at both JFK and Newark International Airports. There is one more EL AL nonstop flight departing this evening from JFK and three nonstops are scheduled to land at JFK and Newark tomorrow morning.

EL AL also made every effort to accommodate any passenger who arrived at either JFK or Newark International Airport today whose connecting domestic flight was cancelled. Offer Gat, Vice President, North and Central America, EL AL Israel Airlines states, “Even though we are not required to provide any passenger with a complementary hotel room due to other airlines cancelling flights, we offered stranded passengers who arrived this morning from Israel these special accommodations. EL AL is committed to make sure that these passengers have a quick, easy and safe journey to their final destination.”
